| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Ryan Gable, the constable for Precinct 3 in |

| 6 | 7 | | Montgomery County, was named the 2015-2016 Constable of the Year by |

| 7 | 8 | | the Justices of the Peace and Constables Association; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ryan Gable began his career in law enforcement in |

| 9 | 10 | | 1993, when he joined the Harris County Constable's Office for |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Precinct 4; during an exemplary tenure that spanned nearly two |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | decades, he served the office in myriad capacities, and following |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | his promotion to the rank of captain, he commanded the civil, writs, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | and warrants division as well as the training division; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Elected to serve Montgomery County in 2012, |

| 15 | 16 | | Constable Gable helped create the first unit in the county |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | dedicated to combating online predators; under his skilled |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | leadership, the office also became the first department in Texas to |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | use an electronic detection dog to find evidence of Internet crimes |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | against children; moreover, the Texas Police Chiefs Association |

| 20 | 21 | | designated his office a Recognized Agency through its Best |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | Practices Recognition Program; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, In addition to ably performing his duties as an |

| 23 | 24 | | elected official, Constable Gable has taught for the Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Commission on Law Enforcement, the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement |

| 25 | 26 | | Management Institute of Texas, and the Texas Justice Court Training |

| 26 | 27 | | Center; this dedicated official is also a graduate of the LEMIT |

| 27 | 28 | | Texas Constables Leadership College; and |

| 28 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Ryan Gable's hard work, professionalism, and |

| 29 | 30 | | commitment to the safety and well-being of the public have greatly |

| 30 | 31 | | benefited the citizens of Montgomery County, and he is indeed |

| 31 | 32 | | deserving of this most recent honor; now, therefore, be it |

| 32 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 33 | 34 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Constable Ryan Gable on his |
