H.R. No. 1233
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ryan Gable, the constable for Precinct 3 in
Montgomery County, was named the 2015-2016 Constable of the Year by
the Justices of the Peace and Constables Association; and
WHEREAS, Ryan Gable began his career in law enforcement in
1993, when he joined the Harris County Constable's Office for
Precinct 4; during an exemplary tenure that spanned nearly two
decades, he served the office in myriad capacities, and following
his promotion to the rank of captain, he commanded the civil, writs,
and warrants division as well as the training division; and
WHEREAS, Elected to serve Montgomery County in 2012,
Constable Gable helped create the first unit in the county
dedicated to combating online predators; under his skilled
leadership, the office also became the first department in Texas to
use an electronic detection dog to find evidence of Internet crimes
against children; moreover, the Texas Police Chiefs Association
designated his office a Recognized Agency through its Best
Practices Recognition Program; and
WHEREAS, In addition to ably performing his duties as an
elected official, Constable Gable has taught for the Texas
Commission on Law Enforcement, the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement
Management Institute of Texas, and the Texas Justice Court Training
Center; this dedicated official is also a graduate of the LEMIT
Texas Constables Leadership College; and
WHEREAS, Ryan Gable's hard work, professionalism, and
commitment to the safety and well-being of the public have greatly
benefited the citizens of Montgomery County, and he is indeed
deserving of this most recent honor; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Constable Ryan Gable on his
selection as the 2015-2016 Constable of the Year by the Justices of
the Peace and Constables Association and extend to him sincere best
wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Constable Gable as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
