| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Robert Beauchamp of the Sachse Police Department was |

| 6 | 7 | | named the 2016 Employee of the Year by the City of Sachse; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Officer Beauchamp has provided exceptional service |

| 8 | 9 | | to his fellow citizens throughout his tenure with the department; |

| 9 | 10 | | in 2016, he was instrumental in developing and staffing four |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | SPD-sponsored summer camps that taught local youth lessons in |

| 11 | 12 | | safety and citizenship while providing them with an opportunity to |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | play games, take field trips, and meet with first responders; the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | program's success earned Officer Beauchamp Employee of the Quarter |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | honors from the department that fall; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, In all facets of his job, this dedicated public |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | servant has demonstrated a strong work ethic and a commitment to |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | excellence, and he has garnered the lasting respect and admiration |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | of his peers and fellow citizens alike; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Robert Beauchamp has proved himself to be an |

| 20 | 21 | | exemplary member of the law enforcement profession, and his efforts |

| 21 | 22 | | have helped to make his community an even better place in which to |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | live and work; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Officer Robert Beauchamp on his |

| 25 | 26 | | selection as the 2016 City of Sachse Employee of the Year and extend |

| 26 | 27 | | to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
