| 10 | 11 | | who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |

| 11 | 12 | | in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A mathematics teacher at Roy Miller High School, |

| 13 | 14 | | Ms. Bannerjee has worked in education at the middle school, |

| 14 | 15 | | secondary, and college undergraduate levels for nearly two decades |

| 15 | 16 | | and is admired by her peers in the profession for her deep |

| 16 | 17 | | understanding of the course subject matter, her high expectations |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | for her classes, and her willingness to go above and beyond for her |

| 18 | 19 | | students; this highly accomplished professional holds two |

| 19 | 20 | | bachelor's degrees and two master's degrees from universities in |

| 20 | 21 | | India, and she recently completed a master's degree in mathematics |

| 21 | 22 | | from Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Pragati Bannerjee exemplifies the passion, |

| 23 | 24 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |

| 24 | 25 | | best teachers, and she has set an example of excellence to which all |

| 25 | 26 | | in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
