| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Founded by Michael and Joni Hoffman, the Buzz |

| 8 | 9 | | Magazines is a print and digital media company covering news and |

| 9 | 10 | | human interest stories about people, products, and services within |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Houston's Bellaire, Memorial, River Oaks, Tanglewood, and West |

|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The Hoffmans launched the venture from their home in |

| 13 | 14 | | 2001, drawing on their experience in advertising, communications, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | and sales; the first issue of the Bellaire Buzz debuted in 2002, |

| 15 | 16 | | followed by the West University Buzz in 2005; the Memorial Buzz and |

| 16 | 17 | | the Tanglewood/River Oaks Buzz were introduced a year later; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Throughout its history, this respected organization |

| 18 | 19 | | has proved itself a trusted source of local news and information for |

| 19 | 20 | | Houston-area residents, and this anniversary milestone provides a |

| 20 | 21 | | welcome opportunity to commend the Buzz Magazines on its highly |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 23 | 24 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Buzz |
