R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Buzz Magazines marked its 15th anniversary on
February 23, 2017, with a celebration at Kirby Grove in Houston; and
WHEREAS, Founded by Michael and Joni Hoffman, the Buzz
Magazines is a print and digital media company covering news and
human interest stories about people, products, and services within
Houston's Bellaire, Memorial, River Oaks, Tanglewood, and West
University communities; and
WHEREAS, The Hoffmans launched the venture from their home in
2001, drawing on their experience in advertising, communications,
and sales; the first issue of the Bellaire Buzz debuted in 2002,
followed by the West University Buzz in 2005; the Memorial Buzz and
the Tanglewood/River Oaks Buzz were introduced a year later; and
WHEREAS, Throughout its history, this respected organization
has proved itself a trusted source of local news and information for
Houston-area residents, and this anniversary milestone provides a
welcome opportunity to commend the Buzz Magazines on its highly
regarded work; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Buzz
Magazines and extend to all those associated with the organization
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Buzz Magazines as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
