45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by
67 only a select few, and the attainment of this significant honor by
78 Kody Hermes of Lindsay heralds a future bright with opportunity and
89 promise; and
910 WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has mastered a number of
1011 important skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has
1112 earned 35 merit badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as
1213 first aid, personal fitness, and environmental science, and he has
1314 gained experience in leadership and teamwork while undertaking his
1415 Eagle Scout project, which involved constructing a dog run at
1516 Noah's Ark Animal Shelter in Gainesville; and
1617 WHEREAS, The son of Kurt and Amy Hermes, Mr. Hermes is
1718 currently a junior at Lindsay High School; he hopes to study
1819 engineering in college; and
1920 WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for
2021 attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Kody Hermes has demonstrated an
2122 unwavering commitment to the Boy Scouts organization and its
2223 ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the
2324 way will indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore,
2425 be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby congratulate Kody Hermes on achieving the rank
2728 of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
2829 success and happiness; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for Mr. Hermes as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3132 House of Representatives.
