R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, August 18, 2016, was indeed a special day in the
lives of Francisco Martinez and former state representative Marisa
Marquez, for on that day they became the proud parents of a darling
baby boy, Ricardo Candelaria Martinez; and
WHEREAS, Ricardo weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and measured
19-1/2 inches in length when he made his long-awaited arrival at
7:20 a.m. at the Sierra Campus of the Hospitals of Providence in El
Paso; and
WHEREAS, This adorable little boy is the grandson of
Dr. Ricardo Marquez, Gloria Flores Aceves, Jesus P. Martinez, and
the late Manuela Gomez Martinez; he is also the godson of Nina
Villarreal and Jerry Martinez; and
WHEREAS, Ricardo begins his life secure in the safe and
loving embrace of his family, and with their support, dedication,
and guidance, he may truly look forward to a bright and promising
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Francisco Martinez and Marisa
Marquez on the birth of their beloved son and welcome Ricardo
Candelaria Martinez as a new citizen of Texas; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the family as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
