H.R. No. 1527 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, On March 22, 2017, volunteers from North Collin County Habitat for Humanity and Lowe's Home Improvement in Prosper completed repairs on a local home damaged by a fire; and WHEREAS, The teams from Habitat for Humanity and Lowe's worked together over the course of two weeks to rebuild the house in Prosper after it was nearly destroyed by a devastating blaze; construction on the project included framing and replacing windows and doors, re-siding, and painting, as well as building a wheelchair ramp for the homeowner; and WHEREAS, By giving generously of their energy and talents to help a fellow resident in a time of need, these outstanding men and women have set an inspiring example of community service, and it is indeed fitting that their admirable efforts be recognized; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature hereby commend the volunteers from North Collin County Habitat for Humanity and Lowe's Home Improvement in Prosper for their work in repairing a damaged home and extend to all involved in the project sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the organizations as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
