| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends mourned the loss of Ciro Ochoa |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of Jose Maria and Guadalupe Ochoa, Ciro |

| 8 | 9 | | Ochoa was born in La Feria, where he grew up with two brothers, Jose |

| 9 | 10 | | Maria and Humberto, and two sisters, Delia and Carmela; answering |

| 10 | 11 | | his nation's call to duty, he served proudly as a member of the U.S. |

| 11 | 12 | | armed forces during the Korean War; and |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, After his stint in the military, Mr. Ochoa returned |

| 13 | 14 | | to his hometown, where he lived until moving to Mission in 1964; an |

| 14 | 15 | | esteemed member of the community, he owned and operated a beauty |

| 15 | 16 | | salon for many years before his retirement; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Ochoa shared a rewarding marriage with Maria de |

| 17 | 18 | | la Luz Ochoa that spanned more than six decades, and he was the |

| 18 | 19 | | proud father of three sons, Ciro Ochoa Jr. and his wife, Lillian, |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Eli Ochoa and his wife, Velma, and Lino Ochoa and his wife, Kristy; |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | later in life, he was blessed with eight grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, A man of strong religious faith, Mr. Ochoa attended |

| 22 | 23 | | St. Paul's Catholic Church; he treasured the time he spent with his |

| 23 | 24 | | family, and he in turn delighted his loved ones with his hearty |

| 24 | 25 | | sense of humor; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Possessed of a warm and generous nature, Ciro Ochoa |

| 26 | 27 | | earned the respect and admiration of all who were privileged to know |

| 27 | 28 | | him, and he will forever be a source of inspiration to those he |

| 28 | 29 | | leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |
