 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County held a
 dedication ceremony on March 19, 2017, in McKinney to mark the
 completion of its new ball hockey court, which was donated by Dallas
 Stars forward Tyler Seguin; and
 WHEREAS, The mission of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin
 County is to enable young people to reach their full potential, and
 to this end, the organization is currently serving more than 8,000
 children through its after-school, summer, and outreach programs;
 and
 WHEREAS, Tyler Seguin partnered with the Dallas Stars
 Foundation and the Pro Players Foundation to provide the new
 multipurpose outdoor court; in addition to making a generous
 contribution, Mr. Seguin assisted in the construction of the court,
 which features state-of-the-art flooring material; a staunch
 supporter of the Boys and Girls Clubs, this Stanley Cup champion has
 also donated a suite in the Dr Pepper Arena for the use of the
 organization for the past two years, and whenever club members
 attend a Stars game at the facility, he meets with them after the
 event; and
 WHEREAS, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County have made a
 meaningful difference in the lives of countless young Texans, and
 through his inspiring example of philanthropy, Tyler Seguin has
 contributed significantly to the clubs' important work; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Tyler Seguin for his substantial
 donation to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County and extend to
 him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Seguin as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
