H.R. No. 1910
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jason Rodriguez has been presented with a Key Spouse
Award by the TRIO Islanders Organization at Texas A&M
University--Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, The TRIO Islanders Organization is part of the
university's Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS)
initiative, which furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing
resources to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented
students; in receiving a Key Spouse Award, Mr. Rodriguez was
recognized for going above and beyond in showing support for his
wife, June Rodriguez, who currently serves as president-elect of
the organization; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Rodriguez enjoys a fulfilling career as an
aircraft mechanic at the Corpus Christi Army Depot; in addition, he
has volunteered his time in behalf of numerous community service
projects coordinated by TRIO Islanders; and
WHEREAS, Jason Rodriguez has encouraged and tirelessly
supported his wife in all her endeavors and in so doing graciously
contributed to the worthwhile mission of the TRIO Islanders
Organization, and he is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jason Rodriguez on his receipt of a
TRIO Islanders Organization Key Spouse Award and extend to him
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
