| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Lilian C. Arroyo Lopez has been presented with an |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, First in the World is part of the university's |

| 9 | 10 | | Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which |

| 10 | 11 | | furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to |

| 11 | 12 | | low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students; in |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | receiving an Outstanding Supplemental Instruction Leader Award, |

| 13 | 14 | | Ms. Lopez was recognized for her notable achievements within the |

| 14 | 15 | | program and her record of academic excellence; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A native of Mexico who became a U.S. citizen in 2015, |

| 16 | 17 | | Ms. Lopez is currently a senior at TAMU--CC, where she is pursuing a |

| 17 | 18 | | degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in pre-physical and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | occupational therapy; following her graduation, she will teach high |

| 19 | 20 | | school science for the Dallas Independent School District as a paid |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | intern while working toward her teaching certification; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Lilian Lopez is indeed deserving of this prestigious |

| 22 | 23 | | honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with promise; |
