 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Aimee Lynn Loredo has been presented with an
 Outstanding Award from the Student Support Services Teacher Prep
 Program at Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi; and
 WHEREAS, The Teacher Prep Program is part of the university's
 Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which
 furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to
 low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students; in
 receiving an Outstanding Award, Ms. Loredo was recognized for
 excelling academically; and
 WHEREAS, A native of Miami, Florida, Ms. Loredo is a senior
 studying mathematics education for grades four through eight, and,
 as the first Teacher Prep Program participant to engage in
 mentoring, she is also guiding a sophomore in the same field of
 study; she has been inducted into the TAMU--CC chapter of the
 National Society for Leadership and Success; after beginning her
 teaching career, she hopes to pursue a master's degree in
 curriculum design; and
 WHEREAS, Aimee Loredo is indeed deserving of this prestigious
 honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with promise;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Aimee Lynn Loredo on her receipt of
 an SSS Teacher Prep Program Outstanding Award and extend to her
 sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Loredo as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
