| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Mistura Adebayo has been presented with a Rising |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, SSS-STEM is part of the university's Programs for |

| 9 | 10 | | Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the |

| 10 | 11 | | goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income, |

| 11 | 12 | | first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving a |

| 12 | 13 | | Rising Star Award, Ms. Adebayo was recognized for her notable |

| 13 | 14 | | record of academic achievement as a student majoring in a science, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | technology, engineering, or mathematics field of study; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A first-generation college student, Ms. Adebayo |

| 16 | 17 | | completed an associate degree in arts and medical sciences, and she |

| 17 | 18 | | is working toward a bachelor's degree in nursing; after graduating, |

| 18 | 19 | | she plans to pursue a master's degree in nursing anesthesia and |

| 19 | 20 | | aspires to eventually earn a doctorate in the health care field; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mistura Adebayo is indeed deserving of this |

| 21 | 22 | | prestigious honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with |

| 22 | 23 | | promise; now, therefore, be it |
