R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mistura Adebayo has been presented with a Rising
Star Award from the Student Support Services--STEM program at Texas
A&M University--Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, SSS-STEM is part of the university's Programs for
Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the
goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income,
first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving a
Rising Star Award, Ms. Adebayo was recognized for her notable
record of academic achievement as a student majoring in a science,
technology, engineering, or mathematics field of study; and
WHEREAS, A first-generation college student, Ms. Adebayo
completed an associate degree in arts and medical sciences, and she
is working toward a bachelor's degree in nursing; after graduating,
she plans to pursue a master's degree in nursing anesthesia and
aspires to eventually earn a doctorate in the health care field; and
WHEREAS, Mistura Adebayo is indeed deserving of this
prestigious honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Mistura Adebayo on her receipt of a
Student Support Services--STEM Rising Star Award and extend to her
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Adebayo as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
