| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Justin Clinton Holt has been presented with a Rising |

| 7 | 8 | | at Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Teacher Prep is part of the university's Programs |

| 9 | 10 | | for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the |

| 10 | 11 | | goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving a |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Rising Star Award, Mr. Holt was recognized for his academic |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | achievements in the program; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A senior at TAMU--CC, Mr. Holt is pursuing a degree |

| 15 | 16 | | in history as well as a teaching certification; after graduating, |

| 16 | 17 | | he plans to teach Texas or U.S. history in grades 7 through 12; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Justin Clinton Holt is indeed deserving of this |
