H.R. No. 2055
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Justin Clinton Holt has been presented with a Rising
Star Award from the Student Support Services Teacher Prep program
at Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, Teacher Prep is part of the university's Programs
for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the
goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income,
first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving a
Rising Star Award, Mr. Holt was recognized for his academic
achievements in the program; and
WHEREAS, A senior at TAMU--CC, Mr. Holt is pursuing a degree
in history as well as a teaching certification; after graduating,
he plans to teach Texas or U.S. history in grades 7 through 12; and
WHEREAS, Justin Clinton Holt is indeed deserving of this
prestigious honor, and he may look forward to a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Justin Clinton Holt on his receipt
of a Student Support Services Teacher Prep Rising Star Award and
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Holt as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
