| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, McNair Scholars is part of the university's Programs |

| 9 | 10 | | for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the |

| 10 | 11 | | goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income, |

| 11 | 12 | | first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving an |

| 12 | 13 | | Outstanding Award, Mr. Avalos was recognized for his academic |

| 13 | 14 | | achievements in his program; this notable Texan is working toward a |

| 14 | 15 | | degree in mechanical engineering; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Clyde Avalos is indeed deserving of this prestigious |
