H.R. No. 2077
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Clyde Avalos has been presented with an Outstanding
Award from the McNair Scholars Program at Texas A&M
University--Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, McNair Scholars is part of the university's Programs
for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the
goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income,
first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving an
Outstanding Award, Mr. Avalos was recognized for his academic
achievements in his program; this notable Texan is working toward a
degree in mechanical engineering; and
WHEREAS, Clyde Avalos is indeed deserving of this prestigious
honor, and he may look forward to a future bright with promise; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Clyde Avalos on his receipt of a
McNair Scholars Outstanding Award and extend to him sincere best
wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Avalos as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
