 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A full and productive life drew to a close with the
 passing of Barbara Dunn Kuhl of Houston on December 14, 2016, at the
 age of 94; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of John and Helen Dunn, the former
 Barbara Dunn was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on April 26, 1922;
 she grew up as the adored baby sister in a family of six children,
 and she enjoyed frequent trips to New York for plays, films, and
 other cultural events; coming of age during World War II, she did
 her part for the nation by working for the War Production Board
 while completing her education at Fisher College; and
 WHEREAS, In 1950, she married the love of her life, Philip
 Kuhl, a U.S. Air Force officer; his assignment to the Pentagon took
 them to Washington, D.C., and while living there, they became the
 parents of two children, John and Pam; the family traveled
 extensively during Colonel Kuhl's career, living in numerous
 countries in the Far East, and Mrs. Kuhl's grace and social skills
 were of great benefit as she supported her husband in his
 responsibilities; following his retirement, they settled in Fort
 Worth and embarked on careers in real estate; Mrs. Kuhl quickly
 distinguished herself as one of the city's top brokers; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Kuhl was dedicated to her family above all
 else, and following her husband's death in 2010, she moved to
 Houston to be closer to her children; ever cheerful and vibrant, she
 continued to make many new friends, and her elegance and style added
 extra flair to gatherings at the Four Leaf Towers residential
 complex where she lived; she was a devout Catholic and a source of
 wisdom and inspiration to those in her circle; and
 WHEREAS, Although Barbara Kuhl will be deeply missed, those
 who were privileged to share in her love and friendship will forever
 remember the joy and kindness she brought into their lives; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Barbara Dunn Kuhl
 and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her passing; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Barbara
 Kuhl.
