 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Austin "Rose" Heilman has been presented with a
 Rising Star Award by the McNair Scholars Program at Texas A&M
 University--Corpus Christi; and
 WHEREAS, The McNair Scholars Program is part of the
 university's Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS)
 initiative, which furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing
 resources to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented
 students; in receiving a Rising Star Award, Ms. Heilman was
 recognized for her progress in academic achievements and program
 requirements; and
 WHEREAS, A senior at TAMU--CC, where she is currently
 majoring in psychology, Ms. Heilman has been selected to present
 her student research at the 2017 Association for Psychological
 Science convention in Boston; following her graduation, she plans
 to pursue a Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Houston; and
 WHEREAS, Rose Heilman is indeed deserving of this prestigious
 honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with promise;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Austin "Rose" Heilman on her
 receipt of a McNair Scholars Program Rising Star Award and extend to
 her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Heilman as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
