H.R. No. 2376
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Brian Pounds has ably served his fellow Texans as a
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Eddie
Rodriguez during the 85th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Pounds has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
in addition to gaining valuable experience relating to issues
facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has been instrumental in
advocating for initiatives pertaining to funding the arts,
including the growing Texas music industry; and
WHEREAS, A devoted husband and father, Mr. Pounds is also a
student at Arizona State University who balances his family and
academic endeavors with his career as a singer and musician; he
appeared on season five of the television talent competition The
Voice and was named a finalist in the 2017 Grassy Hill Kerrville New
Folk contest at the Kerrville Folk Festival; and
WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed his duties as a
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Brian Pounds for his service as a
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Eddie
Rodriguez and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Pounds as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
