R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Shaelynn Rae Welch of Lubbock, the beloved daughter
of Michael and Tori Welch, passed away on May 15, 2017, at the age of
four; and
WHEREAS, Born on March 24, 2013, Shaelynn was blessed with
the affection of a large and close-knit family that included her
siblings, Cameron, Grayson, Madelynn, Kimberlynn, Christian, and
Carson, and her sister and best friend, Addison; she went to school
at Lil' Haden's Playhouse and Learning Center, where she enjoyed
visiting with her friends and helping out her teachers; and
WHEREAS, A natural-born nurturer, Shaelynn demonstrated her
kindness and concern for others in many ways; she had a generous
heart and a smile that lit up the room, and she always took care to
remind those closest to her how much she loved them; and
WHEREAS, Although it is immeasurably painful to say goodbye
to this precious little girl, Shaelynn Welch brightened the lives
of everyone around her, and they will forever carry her memory in
their hearts; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Shaelynn Rae Welch and
extend deepest condolences to all those who mourn her passing; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Shaelynn
Welch.
