| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Ron Wilson is concluding his term on the Llano |

| 6 | 7 | | County Commissioners Court in 2016, and he is indeed deserving of |

| 7 | 8 | | recognition for his notable public service; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A member of the Llano High School Class of 1969 and a |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | 1970 graduate of the McMahon College of Court Reporting, Mr. Wilson |

| 10 | 11 | | enjoyed a successful career in court stenography that spanned four |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | decades; in addition to a six-year stint in the U.S. Army J.A.G. |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Corps, he worked in courts in Alabama and Texas and established his |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | own court reporting firm in Dallas; the recipient of several awards |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | for his skill at his craft, he has held membership in the National |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Court Reporters Association and the Texas Court Reporters |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Association; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, In November 2010, following his retirement, |

| 18 | 19 | | Mr. Wilson became court administrator for the Llano County |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Court-at-Law; two years later, he was elected county commissioner |

| 20 | 21 | | for Precinct 3, and over the past four years, he has dedicated |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | himself to addressing the needs of area residents and to helping |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | prepare Llano County for the challenges and opportunities that lie |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | ahead; over the course of his tenure, he has served as a valued |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | member of the Solid Waste Advisory Committee of the Capital Area |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | Council of Governments, and he has been actively involved in the |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | biannual Countywide Clean-up; he has also given generously of his |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | time and energies as the veterans service officer for Llano County; |

| 29 | 30 | | WHEREAS, The well-being of our communities is enhanced |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | immeasurably by the efforts of skilled and committed public |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | officials, and Ron Wilson may indeed take pride in his record of |

| 32 | 33 | | service to Llano County; now, therefore, be it |

| 33 | 34 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 34 | 35 | | Legislature hereby commend Ron Wilson for his outstanding work as a |

| 35 | 36 | | Llano County commissioner and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
