| 6 | 7 | | Christi is celebrating its 50th anniversary on February 5, 2017; |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Chartered by St. Pius X Catholic Church, Troop 157 |

| 9 | 10 | | has made immeasurable contributions to the lives of its members by |

| 10 | 11 | | providing an educational program that builds character, promotes |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | personal fitness, and trains participants in the responsibilities |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | of citizenship; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Over the years, 125 members of the troop have |

| 14 | 15 | | attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor conferred by the |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Boy Scouts of America, and more still have earned religious emblems |

| 16 | 17 | | of the Catholic Church; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, For half a century, Troop 157 has provided local |

| 18 | 19 | | youth with opportunities to discover and enjoy the outdoors, |

| 19 | 20 | | develop important leadership skills, and perform valuable |

| 20 | 21 | | community service, and it is indeed fitting to join in recognizing |
