45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Pat Menville of Houston has greatly benefited her
67 fellow citizens as president of the Sharpstown Civic Association;

89 WHEREAS, A voluntary homeowners group, the SCA is dedicated
910 to the betterment of Sharpstown, a master-planned community
1011 established in 1955 that remains one of the country's largest
1112 subdivisions; the civic association provides a variety of services,
1213 including deed restriction enforcement, security patrols, mosquito
1314 fogging, neighborhood beautification initiatives, a newsletter,
1415 and monthly meetings featuring programs of interest to residents;
1516 and
1617 WHEREAS, Ms. Menville has provided dedicated leadership to
1718 the SCA for the 2016-2017 term; she has been active with the
1819 association since 2013 as a volunteer and director, and she
1920 previously served as chair of the deed restriction committee; as a
2021 longtime local resident, she works especially hard to facilitate
2122 strong communication by the board and to increase membership in the
2223 group; and
2324 WHEREAS, The strength and vibrancy of our communities are
2425 enhanced by the devoted efforts of individuals such as Pat
2526 Menville, whose tireless work has contributed immeasurably to the
2627 quality of life in Sharpstown; now, therefore, be it
2728 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2829 Legislature hereby commend Pat Menville for her service as
2930 president of the Sharpstown Civic Association and extend to her
3031 sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
3132 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3233 prepared for Ms. Menville as an expression of high regard by the
3334 Texas House of Representatives.
