H.R. No. 2603 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Pat Menville of Houston has greatly benefited her fellow citizens as president of the Sharpstown Civic Association; and WHEREAS, A voluntary homeowners group, the SCA is dedicated to the betterment of Sharpstown, a master-planned community established in 1955 that remains one of the country's largest subdivisions; the civic association provides a variety of services, including deed restriction enforcement, security patrols, mosquito fogging, neighborhood beautification initiatives, a newsletter, and monthly meetings featuring programs of interest to residents; and WHEREAS, Ms. Menville has provided dedicated leadership to the SCA for the 2016-2017 term; she has been active with the association since 2013 as a volunteer and director, and she previously served as chair of the deed restriction committee; as a longtime local resident, she works especially hard to facilitate strong communication by the board and to increase membership in the group; and WHEREAS, The strength and vibrancy of our communities are enhanced by the devoted efforts of individuals such as Pat Menville, whose tireless work has contributed immeasurably to the quality of life in Sharpstown; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature hereby commend Pat Menville for her service as president of the Sharpstown Civic Association and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Menville as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
