 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Charmaine LeBlanc of Houston has greatly benefited
 her fellow citizens as vice president of the Sharpstown Civic
 Association; and
 WHEREAS, A voluntary homeowners group, the SCA is dedicated
 to the betterment of Sharpstown, a master-planned community
 established in 1955 that remains one of the country's largest
 subdivisions; the civic association provides a variety of services,
 including deed restriction enforcement, security patrols, mosquito
 fogging, neighborhood beautification initiatives, and monthly
 meetings featuring programs of interest to residents; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. LeBlanc has demonstrated exceptional dedication
 in her role as SCA vice president for the 2016-2017 term; in
 addition, she has helped to organize events and serves as editor of
 the newsletter, The Scan, and as a member of the safety and security
 committee; during the 85th Legislative Session, she represented the
 SCA before the House Urban Affairs Committee, testifying in support
 of House Bill 714, regarding parking ordinances, and she gave
 generously of her time and expertise to promote its advancement
 through the process; and
 WHEREAS, The strength and vibrancy of our communities are
 enhanced by the devoted efforts of individuals such as Charmaine
 LeBlanc, whose tireless work has contributed immeasurably to the
 quality of life in Sharpstown; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Charmaine LeBlanc for her service as
 vice president of the Sharpstown Civic Association and extend to
 her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. LeBlanc as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
