| 12 | 13 | | marriage license) to consider and take action on the following |

| 14 | 15 | | House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(1), is suspended to permit the |

| 15 | 16 | | committee to amend text not in disagreement in proposed SECTION 6 of |

| 16 | 17 | | the bill to read as follows: |

| 17 | 18 | | SECTION 6. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | to a marriage license issued on or after January 1, 2019. A |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | marriage license issued before January 1, 2019, is governed by the |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | law in effect immediately before the effective date of this Act, and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | the former law is continued in effect for that purpose. |

| 22 | 23 | | Explanation: This change is necessary to delay |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | implementation of the bill until January 1, 2019. |
