| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A life filled with happy times and meaningful |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Pearl Lee and Oswald Lee Morrison, |

| 9 | 10 | | Kenneth Morrison distinguished himself in his business career and |

| 10 | 11 | | was a devoted family man; he took great pride in his son, Kenny Ray, |

| 11 | 12 | | and his daughter, Devrry, delighting in their athletic |

| 12 | 13 | | accomplishments and spending many hours helping them achieve their |

| 13 | 14 | | goals; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Morrison shared a fulfilling marriage of 10 |

| 15 | 16 | | years with his wife, Glenda; in later years, he knew the joy of |

| 16 | 17 | | becoming a doting grandfather to Brock and Brody Mitchell, and he |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | enjoyed treating them to s'mores and fireworks and teaching them to |

| 18 | 19 | | shoot; he was an avid outdoorsman and even traveled to South Africa |

| 19 | 20 | | to hunt kudu and blue wildebeest; at home, he was famous for his |

| 20 | 21 | | country cooking and specialized in lavish breakfasts; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, A man of faith, Mr. Morrison was very active in |

| 22 | 23 | | First United Methodist Church in Dayton; he sang in the choir and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | gave generously of his time and talents to benefit the congregation |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | and the community; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Morrison is deeply missed by those he left |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | behind, but they will forever cherish their memories of time spent |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | in his company; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 29 | 30 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kenneth Ray Morrison |

| 30 | 31 | | and extend sincere condolences to his loved ones; and, be it further |
