 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A life filled with happy times and meaningful
 achievements drew to a close with the passing of Kenneth Ray
 Morrison on June 9, 2016, at the age of 70; and
 WHEREAS, The son of Pearl Lee and Oswald Lee Morrison,
 Kenneth Morrison distinguished himself in his business career and
 was a devoted family man; he took great pride in his son, Kenny Ray,
 and his daughter, Devrry, delighting in their athletic
 accomplishments and spending many hours helping them achieve their
 goals; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Morrison shared a fulfilling marriage of 10
 years with his wife, Glenda; in later years, he knew the joy of
 becoming a doting grandfather to Brock and Brody Mitchell, and he
 enjoyed treating them to s'mores and fireworks and teaching them to
 shoot; he was an avid outdoorsman and even traveled to South Africa
 to hunt kudu and blue wildebeest; at home, he was famous for his
 country cooking and specialized in lavish breakfasts; and
 WHEREAS, A man of faith, Mr. Morrison was very active in
 First United Methodist Church in Dayton; he sang in the choir and
 gave generously of his time and talents to benefit the congregation
 and the community; and
 WHEREAS, Kenneth Morrison is deeply missed by those he left
 behind, but they will forever cherish their memories of time spent
 in his company; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kenneth Ray Morrison
 and extend sincere condolences to his loved ones; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kenneth
 Morrison.
