| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, ZaDarius Webber, a senior at Klein Forest High |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Student Heroes program recognizes young people |

| 9 | 10 | | who have performed acts of charity and kindness that benefit their |

| 10 | 11 | | fellow students, their school, or their community; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, One of only 15 recipients of the honor in 2017, |

| 12 | 13 | | Mr. Webber has held leadership roles with AVID, North East Men of |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Distinction, the Klein Forest African American Heritage Society, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | and the North Houston Juniors Frontier Club; he has also served his |

| 15 | 16 | | fellow students as junior class president and band council |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | librarian and as manager of the girls' track, girls' volleyball, and |

| 17 | 18 | | boys' basketball teams; furthermore, he completed an internship in |

| 18 | 19 | | the office of Mayor Sylvester Turner in 2015; over the years, he has |

| 19 | 20 | | received a number of accolades, including the Science, Technology, |

| 20 | 21 | | Engineering, and Math Academy Award and the title of Martin Luther |

| 21 | 22 | | King Jr. Outstanding Student; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Through his hard work and dedication to civic |

| 23 | 24 | | engagement, ZaDarius Webber has earned the respect and admiration |

| 24 | 25 | | of his classmates and his teachers, and he may indeed look forward |
