| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Kahlan Rebekah Martin has been named salutatorian of |

|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |

| 10 | 11 | | intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |

| 11 | 12 | | highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | top ranking students in her class, Ms. Martin demonstrated a |

| 13 | 14 | | thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | attainment of this coveted accolade is the crowning achievement of |

| 15 | 16 | | a notable high school career; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, An AP Scholar with Distinction, Ms. Martin was a |

| 17 | 18 | | member of the National Honor Society; she also served the school as |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | a cheerleader, as president of the Spanish Club, and as a violinist |

| 19 | 20 | | in the orchestra, which she further served as vice president; she |

| 20 | 21 | | plans to attend Stanford University in the fall; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, During her years at Summer Creek High, Kahlan |

| 22 | 23 | | Rebekah Martin has earned the respect and admiration of both her |

| 23 | 24 | | teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and |
