45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Amber Ray has ably served her fellow Texans for
67 three decades as a staff member in the Texas House of
78 Representatives; and
89 WHEREAS, In 1985, Ms. Ray joined the office of State
910 Representative Bill Carter as a secretary; she became a legislative
1011 aide to Representative Carolyn Park in 1991, and some six years
1112 later, she began an impressive 12-year tenure as a legislative aide
1213 to Representative Todd Smith; and
1314 WHEREAS, Ms. Ray subsequently worked as a legislative aide
1415 for Representative Linda Harper-Brown, and then in 2013, she took
1516 on her current responsibilities as district director for
1617 Representative Stephanie Klick; she has demonstrated exceptional
1718 resourcefulness and initiative, and she devotes great care to every
1819 task, earning the respect and appreciation of colleagues and
1920 constituents alike; and
2021 WHEREAS, Over the course of three decades, this esteemed
2122 public employee has performed her duties with skill and dedication,
2223 and it is truly fitting to recognize her for her long record of
2324 achievement; now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby commend Amber Ray for her 30 years of service as
2627 a legislative staff member and extend to her sincere best wishes for
2728 the future; and, be it further
2829 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2930 prepared for Ms. Ray as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3031 House of Representatives.
