H.R. No. 2705
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Amber Ray has ably served her fellow Texans for
three decades as a staff member in the Texas House of
Representatives; and
WHEREAS, In 1985, Ms. Ray joined the office of State
Representative Bill Carter as a secretary; she became a legislative
aide to Representative Carolyn Park in 1991, and some six years
later, she began an impressive 12-year tenure as a legislative aide
to Representative Todd Smith; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Ray subsequently worked as a legislative aide
for Representative Linda Harper-Brown, and then in 2013, she took
on her current responsibilities as district director for
Representative Stephanie Klick; she has demonstrated exceptional
resourcefulness and initiative, and she devotes great care to every
task, earning the respect and appreciation of colleagues and
constituents alike; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of three decades, this esteemed
public employee has performed her duties with skill and dedication,
and it is truly fitting to recognize her for her long record of
achievement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Amber Ray for her 30 years of service as
a legislative staff member and extend to her sincere best wishes for
the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Ray as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
