| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Joan Buschor has rendered exceptional service to her |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A City of Houston super neighborhood is a |

| 9 | 10 | | geographically designated area where an elected council, |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | representing residents, businesses, institutions, and civic |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | organizations, works to address the common needs and concerns of |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | the community; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The Mid-West super neighborhood includes a mix of |

| 14 | 15 | | single-family homes, condominiums, apartment complexes, and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | commercial facilities, as well as several schools within the |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Houston Independent School District and numerous churches; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The strength and cohesion of our communities are |

| 18 | 19 | | enhanced by the devoted efforts of individuals such as Joan |

| 19 | 20 | | Buschor, whose tireless work has contributed immeasurably to the |

| 20 | 21 | | quality of life in Houston; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 22 | 23 | | Legislature hereby commend Joan Buschor on her service as president |
