| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Roushon Talcott has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Talcott began the session as a legislative |

| 9 | 10 | | intern but was later promoted to legislative director; her |

| 10 | 11 | | resourcefulness and initiative have earned the appreciation of her |

| 11 | 12 | | colleagues, and her contributions to carrying forth Representative |

| 12 | 13 | | Uresti's legislative agenda have helped address issues facing |

| 13 | 14 | | citizens across the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, |

| 15 | 16 | | Ms. Talcott is a 2017 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, |

| 16 | 17 | | where she majored in international relations, global studies, and |

| 17 | 18 | | Hindi; she was a member of the Hindi Urdu Flagship program and spent |

| 18 | 19 | | her junior year in India, perfecting her language skills and taking |

| 19 | 20 | | part in an internship with a local nonprofit; after the session, she |

| 20 | 21 | | plans to complete the South Asia and Nonproliferation Internship |

| 21 | 22 | | through the Stimson Center in Washington, D.C., before eventually |

| 22 | 23 | | returning to the Texas Legislature; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed her |

| 24 | 25 | | duties as legislative director with skill and dedication, and she |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
