H.R. No. 274
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, March 12, 2016, marked a new chapter in the lives of
Winston Chang and Katherine Stambaugh, for on that day they
exchanged their wedding vows in Baltimore, Maryland, and embarked
on a rewarding journey together as husband and wife; and
WHEREAS, Katherine Alice Stambaugh is the daughter of David
and Marianne Stambaugh and an aerospace engineer at the Johns
Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory; the son of Dr. Peter
Chang and the Honorable Theresa Chang, Winston Chang is a
technology consultant for Deloitte; and
WHEREAS, Active in their community, the newlyweds serve as
volunteer coaches and help run clinics for several local ultimate
Frisbee teams and organizations; they have also participated in the
Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Walkathon and the DC101 Chili
Cook-Off; the bride has generously shared her passion for science,
technology, engineering, and mathematics as a guest speaker at
schools, as a science fair judge, and as a member of numerous
professional and service organizations; the groom has volunteered
in local schools and community centers in conjunction with Deloitte
Impact Days; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Chang and Ms. Stambaugh share a profound bond of
love, respect, and mutual regard that has only deepened with the
passage of time, and the strength of their commitment ensures that
many more joyful days await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Winston Chang and Kate Stambaugh on
their marriage and extend to them sincere best wishes for a lifetime
of happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Chang and Ms. Stambaugh as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
