R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Business leaders and members of the Alliance of
North Houston Chambers of Commerce are gathering in Austin on
February 28, 2017, to celebrate North Houston Day at the State
Capitol; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1994, ANHOC works to foster regional
support and cooperation between chambers in North and Northwest
Harris and South Montgomery Counties; moreover, the alliance helps
to facilitate regional economic development and joint discussions
on public policy issues of concern to the more than 67,000
businesses that it represents; and
WHEREAS, Members of the alliance are the Cy-Fair Houston,
Greater Tomball Area, Houston Intercontinental, Houston Northwest,
and Lake Houston Area Chambers of Commerce, and the North Houston
Association; and
WHEREAS, Working to enhance the area's prosperity, the
Alliance of North Houston Chambers of Commerce has greatly
benefited its community, and everyone associated with the
organization merits the highest praise for their civic engagement;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby recognize February 28, 2017, as North Houston
Day at the State Capitol and extend to the visiting delegation
sincere best wishes for an informative and enjoyable stay in
Austin.
