5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Admired educator LaToya Wynne has greatly benefited |

8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Now the executive director of elementary teaching |

9 | 10 | | and learning, Ms. Wynne first joined the district as a teacher at |

10 | 11 | | Lemm Elementary School; she went on to become principal at Epps |
---|
11 | 12 | | Island Elementary; and |

12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, In 2016, Ms. Wynne was awarded a summer leadership |

13 | 14 | | fellowship by The Principals' Center at the Harvard Graduate School |

14 | 15 | | of Education; she was selected as 1 of just 95 professionals to |

15 | 16 | | participate in the prestigious leadership academy through the |

16 | 17 | | sponsorship of Raise Your Hand Texas, a nonprofit advocacy |

17 | 18 | | organization working to strengthen and improve public education; |

19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious |

20 | 21 | | resource, and LaToya Wynne has demonstrated an exceptional |

21 | 22 | | commitment to providing young Texans with a strong foundation on |

22 | 23 | | which to build a happy, productive future; now, therefore, be it |

23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby honor LaToya Wynne for her contributions to the |
