| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Food & Fuel Association are |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Founded in 1949, the Texas Food & Fuel Association |

| 8 | 9 | | is a nonprofit organization representing more than 700 companies in |

| 9 | 10 | | the wholesale and retail segments of the fuel marketing, |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | convenience, and food industries; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The organization's member companies own, operate, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | and supply more than 12,000 convenience stores across the state, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | and they distribute approximately nine billion gallons of gasoline |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | and diesel fuel each year, both to motorists and to commercial and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | industrial users; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Under the leadership of its current chair, Madalyne |

| 17 | 18 | | Lange, the association advocates on behalf of its members' |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | interests and provides networking, educational, and professional |

| 19 | 20 | | development opportunities as well as resources to help stakeholders |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Since its inception, the Texas Food & Fuel |

| 22 | 23 | | Association has worked diligently to support the growth and |

| 23 | 24 | | development of a vital sector of the economy, and all those |

| 24 | 25 | | associated with the group may take pride in the contributions they |

| 25 | 26 | | make to the prosperity of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby honor the members of the Texas Food & Fuel |

| 29 | 30 | | extend to them sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and informative |
