 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Food & Fuel Association are
 visiting the State Capitol on February 21, 2017; and
 WHEREAS, Founded in 1949, the Texas Food & Fuel Association
 is a nonprofit organization representing more than 700 companies in
 the wholesale and retail segments of the fuel marketing,
 convenience, and food industries; and
 WHEREAS, The organization's member companies own, operate,
 and supply more than 12,000 convenience stores across the state,
 and they distribute approximately nine billion gallons of gasoline
 and diesel fuel each year, both to motorists and to commercial and
 industrial users; and
 WHEREAS, Under the leadership of its current chair, Madalyne
 Lange, the association advocates on behalf of its members'
 interests and provides networking, educational, and professional
 development opportunities as well as resources to help stakeholders
 assess industry trends and market conditions; and
 WHEREAS, Since its inception, the Texas Food & Fuel
 Association has worked diligently to support the growth and
 development of a vital sector of the economy, and all those
 associated with the group may take pride in the contributions they
 make to the prosperity of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby honor the members of the Texas Food & Fuel
 Association on the occasion of their visit to the State Capitol and
 extend to them sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and informative
 event; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
