| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, United States Air Force veteran Beau Crosby of |

| 6 | 7 | | Woodway has been featured in the Waco Tribune-Herald as one of its |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Lakeside, Florida, and raised in a military |

| 9 | 10 | | family, Beau Crosby attended the University of the Philippines |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | before enrolling in the U.S. Air Force Academy; he was commissioned |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | as a second lieutenant after graduating in 1967, and the following |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | year, he was deployed to Nha Trang, Vietnam, where he served as an |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | aircraft maintenance officer with the 14th Air Commando Wing for a |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | year; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, After his tour of duty, Mr. Crosby went on to serve |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | for 28 years in the Air Force Reserve, with assignments in Spain, |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Turkey, Illinois, New Mexico, and Texas; in addition, he worked as |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | the reserve's director of aerospace maintenance at the Pentagon for |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | six years and then as an advisor to the USAF deputy chief of staff |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | for logistics until retiring with the rank of colonel in 1997; he |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | was subsequently employed by the Federal Aviation Administration, |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | and after moving to Woodway in 2003, he joined the local volunteer |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | fire department; and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, This highly decorated veteran has been blessed in |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | all his endeavors with the love and support of his wife of 30 years, |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | Kathy Endres, and he takes immense pride in their three children and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | four grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Beau Crosby has fulfilled the highest ideals of the |

| 29 | 30 | | United States armed forces, and his fellow citizens owe him a |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | lasting debt of gratitude; now, therefore, be it |

| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Beau Crosby on being recognized as |

| 33 | 34 | | one of the Voices of Valor by the Waco Tribune-Herald and honor him |
