H.R. No. 546 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, United States Air Force veteran Beau Crosby of Woodway has been featured in the Waco Tribune-Herald as one of its Voices of Valor; and WHEREAS, Born in Lakeside, Florida, and raised in a military family, Beau Crosby attended the University of the Philippines before enrolling in the U.S. Air Force Academy; he was commissioned as a second lieutenant after graduating in 1967, and the following year, he was deployed to Nha Trang, Vietnam, where he served as an aircraft maintenance officer with the 14th Air Commando Wing for a year; and WHEREAS, After his tour of duty, Mr. Crosby went on to serve for 28 years in the Air Force Reserve, with assignments in Spain, Turkey, Illinois, New Mexico, and Texas; in addition, he worked as the reserve's director of aerospace maintenance at the Pentagon for six years and then as an advisor to the USAF deputy chief of staff for logistics until retiring with the rank of colonel in 1997; he was subsequently employed by the Federal Aviation Administration, and after moving to Woodway in 2003, he joined the local volunteer fire department; and WHEREAS, This highly decorated veteran has been blessed in all his endeavors with the love and support of his wife of 30 years, Kathy Endres, and he takes immense pride in their three children and four grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Beau Crosby has fulfilled the highest ideals of the United States armed forces, and his fellow citizens owe him a lasting debt of gratitude; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Beau Crosby on being recognized as one of the Voices of Valor by the Waco Tribune-Herald and honor him for his exemplary service to his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Crosby as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
