| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dr. A. Stephen Lenz was one of five Texas A&M |

| 7 | 8 | | 40 honorees by Corpus Christi Under 40; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Each year, CCU40 recognizes 40 men and women under |

| 9 | 10 | | the age of 40 who have worked to make a positive difference in the |

| 10 | 11 | | Corpus Christi area through both their professional and community |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | endeavors; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, An assistant professor of counselor education, |

| 13 | 14 | | Dr. Lenz also serves as admissions coordinator for the university's |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | master's degree program in counseling and as director of its |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Supporting Pediatric Adjustment and Resilience through Counseling |

| 16 | 17 | | Program, which promotes an integrated behavioral health network to |

| 17 | 18 | | treat youth; he has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | families in community-based counseling, and he specializes in the |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | treatment of trauma and positive psychology interventions; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Dr. A. Stephen Lenz has set an outstanding example |

| 21 | 22 | | of professional achievement and civic engagement, and he may take |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | justifiable pride in his contributions to the Coastal Bend |

| 23 | 24 | | community; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. A. Stephen Lenz on his |
