H.R. No. 941
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dr. A. Stephen Lenz was one of five Texas A&M
University--Corpus Christi employees who were named 2016 40 Under
40 honorees by Corpus Christi Under 40; and
WHEREAS, Each year, CCU40 recognizes 40 men and women under
the age of 40 who have worked to make a positive difference in the
Corpus Christi area through both their professional and community
endeavors; and
WHEREAS, An assistant professor of counselor education,
Dr. Lenz also serves as admissions coordinator for the university's
master's degree program in counseling and as director of its
Supporting Pediatric Adjustment and Resilience through Counseling
Program, which promotes an integrated behavioral health network to
treat youth; he has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and
families in community-based counseling, and he specializes in the
treatment of trauma and positive psychology interventions; and
WHEREAS, Dr. A. Stephen Lenz has set an outstanding example
of professional achievement and civic engagement, and he may take
justifiable pride in his contributions to the Coastal Bend
community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. A. Stephen Lenz on his
selection as a 2016 Corpus Christi 40 Under 40 honoree and extend to
him sincere best wishes for continued success in his important
work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. Lenz as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
