| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The pastor of First Baptist Church Melissa, Trey |

| 6 | 7 | | Graham, is serving as Pastor of the Day for the Texas House of |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, For more than a decade, Mr. Graham has ably led |

| 9 | 10 | | First Melissa as its senior pastor; after attaining a bachelor's |

| 10 | 11 | | degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, he |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | served in the U.S. Army as a field artillery officer for nine years; |

| 12 | 13 | | he then went on to earn a master's degree in divinity from |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and he has also done |

| 14 | 15 | | doctoral work in Christian leadership at Gordon-Conwell |

| 15 | 16 | | Theological Seminary; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Blessed with a fine family that includes his wife, |

| 17 | 18 | | Bretta, and his six children, Pastor Graham is devoted to his loved |

| 18 | 19 | | ones and his community; before joining First Melissa, he served as |

| 19 | 20 | | pastor at ParkwayHills in Plano, and he has further distinguished |

| 20 | 21 | | himself as an author, speaker, and radio host, sharing his faith |

| 21 | 22 | | with his fellow citizens; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Through the years, Pastor Trey Graham has inspired |

| 23 | 24 | | countless Texans with his message of grace and goodwill, and his |

| 24 | 25 | | presence in this chamber is indeed an honor; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
