                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 23, 2017      TO: Honorable Larry Taylor, Chair, Senate Committee on Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1294 by Buckingham (Relating to election of professional staff representatives to certain school district planning and decision-making committees.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require that the procedures for the election of professional staff to a campus or district-level committee provide for appropriate and inclusive representation and prohibits the procedures from limiting eligibility to members of a single organization.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017, or immediately if passed with the necessary voting margins.
