14 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

15 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 408.1225, Labor Code, is amended by |
---|
16 | 12 | | adding Subsections (g) and (h) to read as follows: |
---|
17 | 13 | | (g) On request of the division, a designated doctor shall |
---|
18 | 14 | | provide the division with a copy of any contract that is: |
---|
19 | 15 | | (1) between the designated doctor and an authorized |
---|
20 | 16 | | agent of the doctor; and |
---|
21 | 17 | | (2) for services provided by the agent related to the |
---|
22 | 18 | | designated doctor's duties, including scheduling, billing, and |
---|
23 | 19 | | organizing medical records. |
---|
24 | 20 | | (h) A contract provided to the division under Subsection (g) |
---|
25 | 21 | | is not subject to disclosure under Chapter 552, Government Code. |
---|
26 | 22 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
